An independent voice for families and children who are under state supervision due to allegations or findings of child abuse or neglect. OFCO also monitors the health and safety of children who are in state custody. If you believe the Department of Social and Health Services has not responded adequately to a credible report of suspected child abuse or neglect, or if you believe that a state-supervised family or child, or a child in state custody, is at risk of harm due to the failure of DSHS or another government agency to respond to a complaint, OFCO can help.
